Vilayanur S. Ramachandran
     Renowned neuroscientist known for research on visual perception, phantom limbs, and synesthesia. Invented the mirror box therapy for treating phantom limb pain. Director at the Center for Brain and Cognition, UCSD. Awarded the Padma Bhushan (2007) and Henry Dale Medal (2005). Recognized as ARCS Foundation's Scientist of the Year in 2014.

Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy
Founder of Aravind Eye Hospitals, revolutionizing eye care in India. Pioneered outreach eye camps, blindness rehabilitation, and ophthalmic training programs. Known for performing 100+ cataract surgeries per day despite his arthritis. Honored with the Padma Shri (1973) and multiple international awards in blindness prevention. Subject of a Google Doodle and theatrical tribute on his birth centenary (2018).

World-renowned liver transplant surgeon listed in the Guinness Book for transplanting a liver in a 5-day-old infant.
Pioneered split liver and auxiliary liver transplants in India.
Has performed over 6,000 liver transplants globally.
